Chief Executive Raises Money Running for Children’s Charity

Alison Foxon, Chief Executive of e-reporting group along with Marketing Consultant Michelle Wright, has raised nearly £3,000 for children’s charity CLIC Sargent, after running 13.1miles at the Jersey Fantastic North Run.

After three months training for the half-marathon, which took place in May, and setting a target of 2h 14mins, the girls ran in an official time of 2h 12mins, earning their sponsorship money from friends and colleagues.

The money has been donated to CLIC Sargent, a charity organisation for children with cancer.

Speaking after the marathon, Alison said, “It was a brilliant day and we really enjoyed ourselves. It was girl power all the way, although that thirteenth mile was as hard as the first twelve put together.”

The girls are now in training for the Great North Run, which takes place in October.

CLIC Sargent is the UK’s leading children’s cancer charity, formed in 2005 after a merger between Cancer and Leukaemia in Childhood (CLIC) and Sargent Cancer Care for Children.
