Why are my medical records needed?

There are various reasons why our medical expert may require sight of your medical records. If you need to see a Consultant, such as an Orthopaedic Surgeon or Neurologist, the expert will always need to see your notes to gain further information about the severity of your injuries. Doctors may also need to see your records to establish whether you have any past medical conditions that may have been aggravated by your accident or whether any new conditions have developed as a result of the accident.

What happens to my medical records once the expert has finished with them?
